1. dan: petek, 24.02.2012 PORTOROŽ – BEOGRAD

Odhod avtobusa izpred avtobusne postaje Tivoli Club v Portorožu ob 03.00. Nočna vožnja proti Zagrebu, po avtocesti mimo Slavonskega Broda do Beograda. Prihod v Beograd v dopoldanskih urah. Sledi avtobusni ogled mesta, kjer boste videli Novi Beograd s Sava centrom, Dedinje, kjer stoji Hiša cvetja s posmrtnimi ostanki Josipa Broza Tita, stadion JNA in Marakano, zgradbo TV PINK , hram Svetega Save, nekdanjo zvezno skupščino SFRJ, ter beograjsko oazo miru - Kalemegdan s trdnjavo. Ustavili se bomo na Titovem grobu in si ogledali največjo prvavoslavno cerkev na Balkanu, cerkev sv. Save. Sledi sprehod po Knez-Mihajlovi ulici mimo Saborne cerkve in konaka kneginje Ljubice do trga Republike. Nastanitev v hotelu. Prost večer v boemski četrti Skadarlija ob »starogradski« glasbi ali samostojno nadaljevanje v katerem izmed beograjskih klubov ali splavov, saj je Beograd znan kot mesto, ki nikoli ne spi. Nočitev.

2. dan: sobota, 25.02.2012 BEOGRAD : Sejem Turizma

Po zajtrku bomo obiskali 34. Mednarodni Sejem Turizma (ITTA), največji turistični sejem v Srbiji in s tem tudi v jugovzodnem delu Evrope, kjer se bo predstavilo približno 840 razstavljalcev iz 41 držav. Ogledali si bomo številne predstavitve turističnih agencij, združenj, organizacij, hotelov, turističnih centrov, letalskih prevoznikov, mednarodnih turističnih operaterjev in vseh ostalih, ki se želijo predstaviti turističnemu občinstvu. Že tretje leto zapored pa bodo organizatorji ob sklopu Sejma turizma pripravili tudi sejem »Beo wine fair 2012«, sejem vin, s predstavitvijo in degustacijo odličnih vin Srbije, Hrvaške, Makedonije, Črne Gore pa tudi Slovenije. Zvečer nas čaka še ena nepozabna zabava na enem izmed slavnih splavov. Nočitev.

3. dan: nedelja, 26.02.2012 BEOGRAD - NOVI SAD - PORTOROŽ

Zadnji dan obiska Srbije bomo obiskali drugo največje mesto Srbije, prestolnico Vojvodine – Novi Sad. Sprehodili se bomo do mestnega trga in imeli nekaj prostega časa za kosilo. Novi Sad imenujejo tudi mesto mladih, saj privablja množice predvsem poleti na Exit festival, najbolj znano pa je po Petrovaradinski trdnjavi, ki velja za eno največjih in najbolj ohranjenih trdnjav v Evropi. V zgodnjih popoldanskih urah sledi povratek v Slovenijo, čez Nacionalni park Fruška gora, skozi Zagreb v Portorož. Prihod v poznih večernih urah.

Erasmus mednarodna mobilnost na Turistici postaja »ERAS MUST«

Na Fakulteti za turistične študije Turistica zanimanje med študenti za študij in prakso v tujini postaja vedno bolj privlačna možnost pridobivanja novega znanja s področja turizma. V letu 2012 Erasmus mednarodni program mobilnosti, ki študentom ponuja možnost opravljanja študija in prakse v tujini praznuje že 25 letnico obstoja. Vse od leta 1987 pa do danes je v programu Erasmus mobilnosti izkušnje v tujini izkusilo že preko 2,3 milijona evropskih študentov med njimi tudi študenti turizma UP FTŠ Turistice.

Na UP FTŠ se zavedamo pomembnosti pridobivanja novih izkušenj na področju izobraževanja, praktičnega usposabljanja in medkulturnih kompetenc v tujini. V zadnjih štirih letih se je zanimanje za Erasmus mobilnost na Turistici zelo povečalo saj se za izmenjave v tujini odloča že več kot štirideset študentov letno, svoje izkušnje pa lahko pridobijo na 45 Erasmus partnerskih institucijah v Evropi. Tudi na UP FTŠ Turistici je mednarodno dogajanje pestro saj vsako leto pri nas turizem študira pribljižno petdeset mednarodnih študentov, ki s svojo prisotnostjo ustvarjajo mednarodni pridih, ki ga študij turizma mora imeti. Poleg tega letno prirejamo 1-2 konferenci in vsaj eno poletno ali zimsko solo. Za sproščeno vzdušje in medkulturno atmosfero pa poskrbijo tudi različne prireditve Naših in mednarodnih študentov (medkučlturni večeri, mednarodne ekskurzije, itd.)

Na UP FTŠ Turistici smo v ta namen organizirali Erasmus informativni sestanek katerega se je udeležilo rekordnih 115 študentov, ki se zavedajo, da so pridobljene izkušnje v tujini zelo pomembne za njihov študijski proces in kariero v turizmu.

Zbrane študente sta nagovorila Erasmus ambasador za Slovenijo in podiplomski študent UP FTŠ Turistica Jure Kumljanc in Erasmus koordinator na UP FTŠ Miha Lesjak. Jure Kumljanc tudi sam Erasmus študent, je zbranim študentom predstavil svojo izkušnjo Erasmus mobilnosti in jih spodbudil pri razmišljanju o mobilnosti, Miha Lesjak pa je podal osnovne informacije prihajajočega Erasmus razpisa (v februarju). Ob dejstvu, da je študij v tujini za študente finančni zalogaj, Erasmus program študentom omogoča sofinanciranje mobilnosti v tujini. Študenti so na sestanku pridobili prve informacije o možnosti študija in prakse v tujini, kam jih bo vodila mednarodna pot je odvisno predvsem od njih. UP FTŠ Turistica jim bo seveda stali ob strani in jim zagotovila, da bodo mednarodne izkušnje pomemben del mozaika v njihovem razvoju.

V torek 10.01.2012 od 13.00 – 14.40 v VP001 bo dr. Jesse Dixon izvedel predavanje z naslovom Large Event Planning za študente, ki poslušate predmeta Management prireditev in Turistične prireditve. Predavanje bo v angleškem jeziku.

Welcome to west part ofBalkan Peninsula, region reach in natural resources, cultural heritage andhistory. Bosnia and Herzegovina was ruled by Otoman Empire for 500 years. UnderAustrian empire the 1st world war started with the assassination of the ArchdukeFranz Ferdinand of Austria in Sarajevo (1914). We will visit capitol city ofSarajevo (Olympic city in 1984) and famous Mostar city in the valley of riverNeretva.

Itinerary

1^st day, Friday,18.11.2011.: Portorož-Koper-Sarajevo

Departurefrom main bus station of Portorose at 3:00 am and departure from bus station inKoper (at the market place) at 3:15 am. We will drive through city of NovoMesto (SI), Zagreb (CRO) and Slavonski brod (CRO). We will arrive at Sarajevoin the afternoon. Upon arrival in Sarajevo we will enjoy guided panoramicdrive. We will see rich architecture, statues and monuments from differenthistoric periods and important buildings such as Old Town, Markale Market,Skenderija, Building of Presidency of FBH, Olympic sites:stadium Kosevo and sports hall Zetra, Parliament,National Museum, Marshal Tito Barracks – Campus of University of Sarajevo,Sniper Alley, Building of RTV, Ali-pasha’s fields, Oslobodjenje – Dnevni avaz,Stup, Ilidza and Butmir. After panoramic drive we will accommodate in the Hoteland depart to the old city centre “Baščaršija”- the hart of Bosnia andHerzegovina. The old city centre is a great culinary experience! Youwill have an opportunity to eat “čevapčiči” (meat fingers), “burek” (specialpie) and a Turkish black coffee with special “ratluk” dessert candy. 2^nd day,Saturday, 19.11.2011.: Sarajevo

Breakfastin the hotel and departure to tunnels beneath the airport of Sarajevo – “TunelSpasa”, (Tunnel of Salvation). In the war years of 1992-1996 the tunnel was theonly connection with the world and an important logistic rout for theinhabitants of Sarajevo. We will have a presentation of the modern history ofBosnia and Herzegovina. After the presentation we will continue to theoutskirts of Sarajevo – the spring of river Bosna and enjoy free time for lunch. After lunch we will have aguided tour of other famous sites of Sarajevo (Gazi Husrev-begov mosk, catholicchurch, Sefardsko mahalo and Sinagog, House of Svrzia, Princip bridge,Vijećnica library, House of Inat, Sebilj, Morića han, etc. In the evening wewill enjoy night life of Sarajevo in the local discotheque (additional payment).

3^rd day, Sunday,20.11.2011

Breakfastin the Hotel and departure to Mostar (city of sun). On the way there we willstop in town of Jablanica (memorial of battle for Neretva in 2^ndworld war). We will visit UNESCO protected bridge of Mostar (famous bridgewhich has unique architecture features and was destroyed in the Yugoslavian warand then rebuilt with old mason techniques), Turkish house and the mosqueTabačica. After free time for lunch we will depart back to Slovenia (arrival inlate night hours).

Spoštovani,

Študentom UP FTŠ ponujamo možnost udeležbe na mednarodni znanstveni konferenci EIAT 2011, ki se bo odvijala v Beogradu od 23. – 25. septembra 2011.

UP FTŠ (študentski svet) bo izbranim študentom, ki se bodo najkasneje do 20.08.2011 prijavili za sodelovanje na konferenci plačala registracijo in namestitev (hostel Hedonist – center Beograda) v času konference v Beogradu. Za transfer in stroške transferja študenti poskrbijo sami (avtomobil, vlak, letalo).

Izbrane kandidate bomo obvestili najkasneje do 30.08.2011! Pred odhodom bomo izvedli še informativni sestanek glede konference. Datum informativnega sestanka bomo izbranim kandidatom poslali po izboru.

Prostih mest za prijavo je 10 zato pozivamo študente, da ob prijavi priložijo prijavni dopis v katerem zapišete svoje podatke ter priložite svoj CV v angleškem jeziku (Europass oblika). Prednost pri izboru bodo imeli študenti, ki sodelujejo na aktivnostih, ki jih organizira UP FTŠ – Turistica.

We offer students different kinds of internhips in our hotels, like work at the reception, entertainment, bar, restaurant, kitchen, marketing, PR, administration. We have a lot of free internships for students for this summer (at least for 3 months) and some for the winter and our services are 100% FREE. Animafest Experience is in charge of the human resources department of the best 280 Hotels & Resorts in Spain. We work with 3, 4 and 5-stars hotels, to be sure that the students will enjoy good conditions during their internships. The hotels are located in Costa Brava, Costa Daurada, Balearic Island, Cannarian islands and a lot of other touristic cities.

At the moment we have free places:

Summer School ESCH 2011
Poletna šola ESCH je nadaljevanje zelo uspešne zimske šole (ATLAS Winter University 2010), ki smo jo lani organizirali na UP FTŠ. Potekala bo od 9.7.-19.7.2011 in je financirana s strani Evropske komisije (Lifelong Learning Programme) kar pomeni, da študentje ne plačajo prijavnine za sodelovanje na poletni šoli.

We are searching for one enthusiastic and creative young person to do European Voluntary Service (EVS) or Erasmus Placement in our Italian Language School "La Città Ideale", in Matelica, Italy.

The project will start on February and will last until July/ August. The deadline for applications is 30th, November. The project takes place in Matelica, a small and very quiet town in the Marche.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
Volunteers must be between 20-35 ages, experienced of web design, high-level academic competence in computer skills(Word, Excel, Power Point), ability to produce web teaching materials. No language skills are required but it would be better a little knowledge of Italian. If he/she doesn't speak Italian, he/she must have a good knowledge of English(at least B1).

The school also organizes visits and excursions to different places and the volunteer have the opportunity to take part in these activities and will be more than welcome to suggest and realize own ideas for them.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/TASKS:
-Graphic design(lay out of flyers, posters)
-Helping with the development of the website homepage and updating and innovating it bringing new and creative ideas.
-Freedom to think of and carry out own creative plans and initiatives.

Šola je namenjena vsem, ki želijo pridobiti nova znanja ali poglobiti že osvojena znanja s področja managementa. Predavanja se izvajajo na sedežu fakultete - v Kopru. Del aktivnosti je usmerjen v druženje med tujimi in domačimi študenti in profesorji. The main goal of this youth exchange is to promote the usage of sport activi-ties as part of everyday living, as well as promoting the intercultural dialogue between different nations by using sports as a tool. In sports, the same rules apply, regardless of the part of Europe where they’re played. By using sports, people don’t need the same language to understand each other, they just need to use the same passion in their hearts, no matter which country they are coming from or what is their social status.

For us, the sports are a very useful tool in the integration of the young people!

- Promotion of sports, as part of everyday living;
- Fighting stereotypes and prejudices, by engaging the participants to do activities in the same place at the same time;

Študijski obisk in program pripravništva "Thinking Canada"

Spoštovani,

obveščamo vas, da Evropska komisija v sodelovanju s "Central European Association of Canadian Studies" pripravlja poglobljen štiritedenski študijski obisk in program pripravništva v Kanadi.

Namen programa je omogočiti evropskim študentom poglobljen vpogled v delovanje številnih zasebnih in javnih ustanov, vladnih organov in nevladnih organizacij v Kanadi in s tem razširiti znanje študentov o Kanadi. Interdisciplinarni program odraža številna področja, ki so ključnega pomena za razumevanje sodobne Kanade kot so kulturna raznolikost, angleško-francoski odnosi, multikulturalizem, položaj federalizma in regionalizma, okolja, urbanih vprašanjih in vprašanja v zvezi z ekonomijo, financami in trgovino.

Študijski obisk se bo odvijal od 4 septembra 2011 do 2 oktobra 2011. V programu lahko sodelujejo univerzitetni študenti, ki so v času prijave vpisani v namanj tretji letnik in so državljani Evropske unije ter državljani tretjih držav, ki zakonito prebivajo v Evropski uniji vsaj tri leta pred začetkom programa in so vpisani na univerzo v državi članici EU. Študijskega obiska se bo lahko udeležilo skupno največ 32 študentov, 8 izmed njih pa bo imelo možnost sodelovati tudi v dvomesečnem programu pripravništva neposredno po zaključku obiska.

Pozdravljeni,

Smo študentke (Doroteja, Nermina, Karin) UP FTŠ in se javljamo iz Španije kjer opravljamo strokovno prakso!Najprej ti bomo opisale kompleks Paradise v katerem delamo in potem natančno opisale naše delo. In potem še kaj lepega počnemo v prostem času.

Kompleks Paradise se nahaja v idilični pokrajni Taurito na jugu Gran Canarie. Drugo ime za Taurito je tudi Oaza Taurito, saj gre za mirno območje, na katero mejita dva klifa, centralno območje je obdano s hoteli, na sredini pa lahko najdemo velik vodni park. Kompleks Paradise je eden izmed kompleksov, ki nudi svojim gostom vse kar le ti potrebujejo na počitnicah. Na razpolago so tenis igrišča, trim steze, squash igrišča, mini golf in lepo urejana igrala za otroke. Kompleks je obkrožen z velikimi vrtovi, zaradi česar je idealen kraj za dolge sprehode ali športe na prostem.

Kot smo že prej omenili, se v kompleksu nahaja tudi vodni park. Vodni park je na voljo tudi zunanjim gostom. Plaža Paradise je sicer manjša kot v sosednjem mestu Puerto de Mogan, ampak je zaradi manjšega števila ljudi in finega črnega peska, ki je posledica starodavnih vulkanskih dejavnosti, idealno mesto tako za aktivnosti na plaži kot za sproščanje na soncu. Plaža ponuja tudi možnost najema pedalina, diving center, rent – a – scuter,…

Kompleks je od letališča oddaljen 55 kilometrov, dosežemo ga z vožnjo po lokalni cesti GC-500, nahaja pa se med Puerto Ricom in Puerto de Moganom. Obstajajo tudi redne avtobusne linije do kompleksa ali taksi prevoz. Kompleks sestavljajo trije hoteli, Paradise Lago Taurito, Paradise Costa Taurito in LTI Paradise Valle Taurito. V bližini se nahajajo tudi informacijski center, supermarket, trgovine, ambulanta, telovadnica in parkirišče.

Dora in Nermina delama v Paradise Lago Taurito hotelu kot natakarice v restavraciji. V povprečju imamo 800 gostov, najbolj naporno je za večerjo. Naši delavniki so lahko od 8 – 16, od 15:30 – 11:30 ali pa deljen urnik od 9 -14 in 19-10. Dva krat na dan po dve uri delamo v baru. Najprej v ˝pool bar˝ in nato v Arena Plaza (bar na odprtem, kjer potekajo vsi animacijski šovi).

V hotelu je vse all inclusive tako, da z denarjem nimamo posla. Na pool baru strežeš alkohol in hrano in ljudje res izkoriščajo ta all inclusive ;). Delo v baru je ful fajn, saj si na svežem zraku in lahko komuniciraš s strankami, delaš samo z enim sodelavcem, ki govori samo špansko in je zelo smešen, tak da je ful zanimivo. Delo v Areni Plazi je podobno, samo da tam strežeš vse pijače, vključno z kavo in tam ni hrane. Tam delajo trije vključno z nami in vedno je ogromno ljudi, tako da čas mine hitro in sodelavci so tudi face. Delo v restavraciji je naporno, prvi dve besedi, ki smo se naučile sta bile VAMOS (gremo) in RAPIDO (hitro). Pobiramo krožnike, čistimo in pripravljamo mize, včasih smo v kuhinji, zalgamo krožnike ali pa čistimo kozarce.

Šefi nas majo radi, prav tako personal in kot sem že povedala nihče ne govori angleško, tako da bomo zelo zelo izboljšale našo španščino. Do zdaj je minilo ful hitro in res se zabavamo. Dora je trenutno malo bolna, ker jo je fsekalo v križu in ne dela že celi teden, šef je reko da je zdravje najpomembnejše.

Karin dela v hotelu Paradise Costa Taurito, ki je manjši hotel od Lago in ima samo 250 gostov. Delo je enako kot pri nama samo da ona ne dela v Arena Plazi. Je pa zelo zadovoljna, saj je manj naporno kot v Lago in dela z manj personala, včasih celo konča prej. Vedno dela deljeno kar pomeni od 8:30 – 12:30 in 18:30 do 22:30.
Naš direktor je Othman, ki ima prek vse praktikante in skrbi, da vse stvari potekaj v redu, medtem ko je direktor restavracije Keiser, zelo razumevajoč in prijazen mož.

Hotel ima posebne sobe za praktikante, ki se nahajajo za hotelom Valle Taurito. Imamo tudi poseben vhod, saj nam ni dovoljeno hoditi čez recepcijo, niti v uniformi. Tukaj je okoli 30 praktikantov, vključno z animacijo. Večina jih je iz Nizozemske, Francije in Švedske.. Sobe so majhne ampak udobne. Nimamo kuhinje, zato smo si kuple male štedilnike, saj smo se že naveličale njihove hrane. Vsi pravimo da smo kot v Big Brotheru, nonstop skupaj ;) Vsi so ful face in res se zabavamo. Sobe so za dve, ampak mi smo prosili če lahko Karin spi pri nas, tak da smo zaj tri v eni sobi. Tri krat na teden gremo žurat. Z avtobusom do Puerto Ricota, tam je en bar Harleys, kjer delajo sami sexy tipi, ki se fulll radi slačijo po šankih. Zanimivo, ha  In ker smo tak redne stranke, zdaj dobimo VIP kartico in bomo imeli 50% off. Najljubša plaža nam je AMADORES, bili smo tudi v SARDINE in ROQUE NUBLO (googlaj vse!!). Doživeli smo tudi en mesec karnevala na GC in ga zažurali v Playa de Inglese v Pashi!

Mislim, da bo za nas res ena velika izkušnja, saj se bomo naučile špansko in dodatno izboljšale našo angleščino (ker smo non stop v družbi mormon on stop govorit angleško), spoznale bomo veliko ljudi, saj vsak mesec jih 5 odide in 5 pride, naučile se bomo tudi nizozemsko(slaap lekker) in francosko (ca va). Prav tako bomo bolj podrobno spoznale delovanje hotela kot celote in njegovih sektorjev in seveda pridno nabiramo material, ki bo obogatil animacijski program TURISTICE!!!

Upam, da smo se dovolj razpisale in da nas pogrešate, ker mi vas fullllllllllll! Lep pozdrav iz GC in resno razmislite o prihodu sem!

YES FOOD is a chance for young people - age 18 to 35 - to interact and learn about the cultural heritage of other Balkan people, with focus points on the culinary traditions and the perservation of traditional food processing methods.

Slow Food and Terra Madre network needs young people who can contribute with their enthusiasm and passion to the growth of our network. Terra Madre Balkans last year highlighted the need to focus on food education for children and young people as a crucial step towards re-conciliating people with their rural and gastronomic traditions. Slow Food has members all over the world. What we are trying to develop is a more extended network, involving groups or organizations from different countries but focusing particularly on fostering skills and potential in the Balkan region. These participants will benefit from the experience of participants from more developed western or northern European countries. Equally importantly they will also be able to share their knowledge of their own, more intact food traditions, discovering pride in their region and traditions. The initiative further aims to unite both rural and urban youth communities, and address the various challenges that they face in relation to access, availability and affordability of good food and the usage of sustainable food production.

Kmalu bo 1 mesec od kar sem na študijski izmenjavi....... dnevi in tedni se menjajo kar prehitro ;)

Moja diploma oz. ZPN dobiva obliko, iz dneva v dan. Kar se tiče fakultete, dejstvo je, da smo se na Turistici razvadili z vso možno moderno opremo, od učilnic, računalnikov, knjižnice in tako dalje. Fakulteta tukaj po izgledu bolj spominja na kakšno staro osnovno šolo, kot moderno evropsko fakulteto. Kakorkoli že, bistvo so seveda profesorji, njihove sposobnosti ter izkušnje in sam potek predavanj.

Obiskujem tri predmete; angleščino, italijanščino in litvanščino, čeprav je bila moja prva želja, namesto litvanščine ruski jezik. Namreč litvanščina je res obupna, ne najdem podobnosti niti z enim drugim jezikom :) Ljudje tukaj vsi razumejo in govorijo rusko tako, da se sporazumevam kar v ruščini, čeprav, predvsem mljaši, seveda, govorijo tudi angleško. Moje obveznosti na fakulteti mi ne predstavljajo večjih problemov in ne zahtevajo vlaganja večjih naporov. Na splošno je znanje angleščine profesorjev in drugih erasmus študentov dokaj povprečno, tako, da svojega znanja in komunikacijskih sposobnosti v angleščini, na žalost, ne bom ravno izboljšala ;)

Glavno nalogo trenutno mi predstavlja, kot že omenjeno, pisanje zaključne projektne naloge. Gradivo sem, še dobro, v večini zbarala že v Sloveniji saj tukajšnja knjižnica namreč nima velikega izbora literature v angleškem jeziku.

No, seveda, tisto najlepše, tudi eden iz med razlogov, da sem izbrala za študij Erasmus univerzo v Vilniusu, so potovanja. Končno sem si ogledala drugo navečje in najpomembnejše rusko mesto St. Petersburg. Na potovanju sem mimogrede spoznala tudi druge Erasmus študente iz drugih univerz v Vilniusu, med njimi tudi nekaj Slovencev. Mesto je naravnost čudovito in prepričana sem, da se bom tja vrnila še v poletni sezoni.

V kratkem sledijo še izlet v Tallinn in Rigo. V maju pa upam, da si uspem, pred prihodom nazaj domov, ogledati še Moskvo.

Seveda ne manjka niti dobrih Erasmus zabav. Na splošno se imamo tukaj res fino, uživam in se trudim izkoristiti ta čas :)

ACTIS, in collaboration with the Alliance for Global Sustainability (a university partnership between the ETH Zürich, MIT Boston, University of Tokyo and Chalmers University), the Swiss Academy of Technical Sciences (SATW) and the Environmental Engineering Group from Serbia, is pleased to announce the opening of the applications for the 2011 Youth Encounter on Sustainability (YES) course in Serbia.

The YES course aims to sensitize participants to the complex issues of sustainable development in a global context, through course work, field trips, workshops, group work, and discussions in a practical, international learning experience, combined with social and cultural activities. The course brings together an inspiring group of upper level students and young professionals from different disciplines, cultures and nationalities to learn together in a unique environment. The program builds on 10 years of experience successfully running YES in 10 different countries. ACTIS is an ETH spin-off organization created specifically to expand the YES program and related activities.

International summer school 2011 in Irkutsk

Summer e Winter School di Lingua e Cultura Italiana Università di Macerata

Dear FTS students,

please find enclosed the promotional material of the Italian Language Summer School and Winter School of the University of Macerata (Italy).

Students may attend a 2 weeks course of 50 hours (40 hours of Italian language and 10 hours of in-depth special studies of one of the two subjects as set above) or a 4 weeks course of 100 hours (80 hours of Italian language and 20 hours of in-depth special studies of one of the three subjects as set below).

It is possible to choose between three in-depth special studies which will cover the following subjects: Tourism and Landscape (Course A), History of Italian Art and Music (Course B), and Italian and European Law (Course C).

The Summer School courses start on the 4th July 2011 while the Winter School courses will start on the 9th January 2012. Attendance is mandatory and students must attend at least 75% of the classes.

The application can be downloaded from the School website (www.unimc.it/cri/ilsu) and must be filled in, scanned and sent with the due signature together with a copy of a valid ID document and of the receipt of the first installment by e-mail to cri@unimc.it or alternatively by fax to the number +39 0733 258 6039, within the 14/06/2011 for the 2010/2011 Summer School, within the 25/11/2011 for the 2011/2012 Winter School.

During the Summer School and the Winter School, at least one trip a week will be organized in order to get the students familiar with some of the major historical and artistic sites of Le Marche Region, and of the whole national territory (Venice, Rome, Florence, etc.).

The admission fee for the 2-weeks course is € 600.00, for the 4-weeks course is € 1000.00. The fee includes lessons and board in University colleges. It would be possible to use the University canteen paying € 4,00 for each meal.

Odhod v Beograd na turistični sejem!

Pozdravljeni,

ure nas ločujejo od odhoda v Beograd! Zato imamo za vas še nekaj zelo pomembnih informacij, zato vas prosimo, da pozorno preberete spodnje sporočilo (velja samo za tiste, ki so se prijavili inplačali za ekskurzijo).

Odhajamo v noči iz četrtka 24. 2. na petek, 25. 2. 2011 ob polnoči iz Portoroža.
Avtobus nas pobere na glavni avtobusni postaji v "centru" Portoroža (pred casinojem Adonis). Ker je predviden odhod ob polnoči, vas naprošamo, da ste tam že kakšnih 15 minut prej. Torej ob 23.45.

Odhod iz Ljubljane je predviden ob 1.30, avtobus pa vas bo pobral na parkirišču Dolgi most na Viču.

Zaradi lažje organizacije, mi tisti, ki boste na avtobus prišli v Ljubljani, to NUJNO čimprej sporočite na e-mail oz. na telefon (031869040), da ne bo prihajalo do nepotrebnih zapletov. Hvala.

OPOZORILO: Ne pozabite s seboj vzeti veljavne osebne izkaznice oz. potnega lista!!!

Valuta v Beogradu je Srbski dinar. Priporočamo vam, da si denar zamenjate že v Sloveniji zaradi ugodnejšega menjalnega tečaja. Lahko pa denar seveda zamenjate tudi v Srbiji.

Predviden prihod v Beograd je okrog 9. ure zjutraj. Po prihodu in namestitvi v kultnem hotelu Slavija bo sledil voden ogled mesta in nato prosto popoldne. Zvečer sledi zabava v organizaciji Beograjskih študentov in v družbi še cca. 400 študentov turizma iz držav bivše Jugoslavije, kjer bomo vse do jutranjih ur.

Po kratkem, a sladkem spancu bo sledil odhod na 33. Beogradski sajam turizma. Na sejmu se bomo zadržali do zgodnjih popoldanskih ur. Po sejmu bo spet sledilo prosto popoldne, zvečer pa nas čaka nova nepozabna zabava z DJ Pic-a-Boo-jem, ki nam je družbo delal že v petek na ErasMUST party-u v Manasi.

V nedeljo dopoldne sledi slovo od bivše prestolnice naše skupne države Beograda in odhod proti Portorožu. Prihod v Slovenijo je predviden v večernih urah.

Prosimo, da s sabo vzamete topla oblačila, ker se pričakuje, vsaj za nas ki prihajamo iz Portoroža, kar hladno vreme.

Do našega snidenja vas lepo pozdravljam. Za Beograd!! ;)

Priložnost študentov UP FTŠ Turistice

V okviru turističnega sejma Turizem in prosti čas, je 27. januarja 2011 potekala mednarodna konferenca o strateškem in kreativnem marketingu v turizmu TravelZoom, kjer smo svojo priložnost dobili tudi študenti Turistice.

Kdorkoli se je imel možnost prijaviti z esejem, v katerem naj bi predstavil svoje razmišljanje, primer dobre prakse, vizijo ipd. o eni izmed razpisanih tem.

Avtorji najboljših 8 esejev smo bili povabljeni, da svoje ugotovitve predstavimo na konferenci in vabilu smo se z veseljem odzvali. Bila je izjemna izkušnja postaviti se v vlogo govorca in poslušalcem posredovati ugotovitve eseja.

Takih priložnosti si študentje želimo tudi v prihodnje, saj se s tem urimo tako v pisanju eseja kot tudi v govornem nastopu in neverbalni komunikaciji.

Media for Europe

The youth exchange will bring to the Czech Republic 30 young people from 6 countries of the European Union to discuss about the role of media in our societies and how media can increase youth participation. Media play very important role in today’s world. They are prerequisites of democracy, but at the same time they influence people very much and especially young people are very often confused by different messages coming across from media. We believe it is very important for young people to understand how media work, be able to work with information and process them and think critically about the information they get.

This youth exchange will give young people an opportunity to become young journalists and create newspapers, videos and journalism photos. They will work in international groups, have to divide the tasks, learn how to use new tools, make interviews with local people in the Czech Republic and create together a product.

At the same time, media will be used as a tool to make young people express their opinions about topics like European citizenship, youth participation, democracy, interculturality, discrimination, etc. These media tools will enable young people to express their opinions on these abstract topics in a creative way which is much easier for them.

The results of the project will be after published on a CD which will be disseminated widely among other youth organisations, young people and local communities in the partner countries. These products will be a great tool to enhance the visibility of the Youth in Action programme as well.

University of Tartu Pärnu College is proud to announce The International Summer University course "Learn and Experience Baltics: Nature, Culture and Spa Tourism", from July 31 to August 14, 2011.

This year the Summer University takes participants to 2 countries: Estonia and Latvia (organized jointly by Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences and University of Tartu Pärnu College). The course will deal with:

   * tourism in Baltic countries,
   * sustainability and environmental awareness,
   * culture, nature and spa in tourism and hospitality businesses.

We welcome participants who are keen to find out the tourism specifics of the Baltic Region.

Academic program will be combined with number of field trips, workshops in spas, hiking and explorations in nature, and enjoying authentic culture with native locals. Of course cultural and social events and learning a bit of Estonian and Latvian languages will be included. So it`s learning in the environment that you learn about!

Application deadline is June 1 (and May 1 for scholarship applicants).

Študentski svet UP FTŠ Portorož – Turistica v sodelovanju z BTK Crew in ŠOUP (Študentsko organizacijo Univerze na Primorskem), v mesecu februarju (25., 26., 27. februar) organizira po-izpitno ekskurzijo v Beograd za študente UP FTŠ. Ekskurzija je namenjena vsem študentom UP FTŠ, ki želijo spoznati čare bivše prestolnice skupne države in en dan preživeti na 33. mednarodnem sejmu turizma v Beogradu, kjer se bodo predstavili vsi turistični predstavniki držav bivše Jugoslavije. Seveda bo poleg strokovnih ogledov ter sejma turizma vsak dan poskrbljeno tudi za druženje s študenti vseh turističnih fakultet držav bivše Jugoslavije.

Svoje prihode so potrdili študenti iz Kotorja(CG), Zagreba(HR), Opatije(HR), Novega Sada(SRB), Ohrida(MK) in drugi.

PROGRAM

1.dan: PORTOROŽ (LJUBLJANA) – BEOGRAD

Odhod iz Portoroža 23:45 (avtobusna postaja pri UP Turistici in Ljubljane 1:00 (parkirišče Dolgi most). Prihod v Beograd v jutranjih urah (okrog 09:00). Ob vstopu v mesto vas očarajo zahodna beograjska vrata (stavba Genex-a, Beograjska arena-največja športna dvorana na Balkanu), Sava center; nato pa prečkamo most na reki Savi, s katerega se odpira čudovit pogled na Kalemegdan in staro mestno jedro, ter se zapeljemo proti hotelu kjer si bomo privoščili kratek počitek. Po nastanitvi v Hotelu Slavija** se bomo z lokalnim vodičem odpravimo proti mestnemu jedru kjer se bomo sprehodili po Knez Mihajlovi ulici in Kalemegdanu (Trg Republike, Spomenik Knezu Mihajlu, Narodno gledališče, Narodni muzej, Srbska akademija znanosti in umetnosti, Študentski trg, Etnografski muzej, Kalemegdanska trdnjava) . Prosto za samostojne oglede do večerne zabave v organizaciji beograjskih študentov. Nočitev v hotelu Slavija **.

2. dan: BEOGRAD

Celodnevni ogled 33. IFT sejma turizma v Beogradu (10:00–16:00). Več informacij na http://www.beogradskisajamturizma.rs. Zvečer nas čaka druženje v organizaciji beograjskih študentov turizma (IFT Beograd). Nočitev hotel Slavija**.

3. dan: BEOGRAD – LJUBLJANA (PORTOROŽ)

Odhod proti Sloveniji z morebitnim postankom v Novem Sadu (postanek bo izveden v primeru pravočasnega odhoda iz Beograda). Prihod domov v poznih večernih urah.

The event will be organized by the members of Rajk László College from 14th to 18th March 2011 in Budapest, Hungary. The title of the conference is: Europe in the 21th century: There was! There is! The Conference offers the possibility to discuss the actual questions concerning the whole European continent together with our guests and establish lasting connections with them that could serve as a basis for the relationship of our universities or for research co-operations.

During the Conference the selected applicants will participate in one of the sections’ work, which concern relevant European issues. The sections are the following:

please find enclosed a scholarship offer of the Baden-Wuerttemberg foundation.

For Karlsruhe we can offer:

1 scholarship of 1800 Euros (3x 600) for three months from April to June 2011 (Application deadline: 31st of January 2011).
9 scholarships of 1560 Euros (3 x 520) for three months during the academic year 2011/2012 (October to December 2011 or April to June 2012) (Application dealine: 31st of March 2011)

kot veste bo v sredo 12.1.2011 informativni sestanek za prihajajoči razpis Erasmus 2011/2012 (študij in praksa) .

Zaradi nepredvidenih dogodkov je prišlo do zamika ure. Sestanek bo tako potekal od 14:30 do 15:30 v predavalnici 204 v Portorožu (UP FTŠ)!!!

Saint Andrews day - Poland tradition

On the rainy 29th November 2010 »Erasmus girls« from Poland: Karolina Dańda, Karolina Centkowska, Maria Paterek, Malgorzata Debska invited us to dormitory in Portorož, but they were mysterious about the reason for our meeting that night... It was St. Andrews visit in Slovenia!

St. Andrews Day is a deep-rooted tradition from Poland, although there are related traditions also in continental Europe. It is the celebration of Andrzejki, Christian Apostle, celebrated on the night of the 29th through 30th of November and connected with the first day of Advent. From tradition girls from Poland on that night of November pray to St. Andrews for their (future) husband. First they make a wish, then they wait for a sign and then throughout the game look for the sign.

Girls from Poland do this diviation every year and it was not difficult to convince us for that kind of game, because we all like to believe in beautiful things which are waiting for us, especially when it comes to love. We played symbolic meaning of key, some kind of furtune bottle, we almost learn the future name of our husband/wife and the most interesting was pouring hot wax into cold water by a hole from the key (symbolic meaning of key)-when the wax cools, we tried to read symbolic meaning of its shapes, from their shadows on the wall. They said that with this shape is possible to recognize or suspect future partners appearance, attirbutes of proffesions or our future travel and way of life.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships for European students

Dear students,

The Erasmus Mundus programme offers scholarships to students and to doctoral candidates from all over the world to follow Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses and Joint Doctorates. While the programme has been operating for a number of years, it is only since the 2010 selection that students from the EU have been eligible for these scholarships. We wish to work with a number of institutions, associations and groupings in the European higher education sector to ensure that European students are fully aware of the opportunities available under Erasmus Mundus.

For this reason we are sending you a leaflet explaining the scholarships, and providing guidance for European students on how to apply. Students will have to apply between November and January for programmes starting in the academic year 2011-2012.

Portoroz4.me! Tekmovanje, ki ga ne gre zamuditi!

Skoraj sigurno poznate letno srečanje Turizmijada (srečanje študentov turizma vseh držav bivše Jugoslavije).

Turizmijada 2011 bo naslednje leto postregla z še več tekmovanji...letos bomo tekmovali tudi v pripravi spletnih mest (portalov) v smislu OTA (Online Travel Agency).

Sodeluje Črnogorska domena .me kar pomeni, da bo naslov spletnega mesta Portoroz4.me. Tekmovanje je namenjeno študentom UP FTŠ in obljublja bogate nagrade (govori se celo o finančni nagradi preko 1000 EUR).

Študentom UP FTŠ dajemo v razmislek več kot samo tekmovanje saj gre tudi za zelo bogate izkušnje in mogoče celo podjetniško idejo, ki bi se po tekmovanju lahko razvila v zgodbo o uspehu.

Študentje, ki bi sodelovali prosimo, da pošljejo "blueprint" poslovnega načrta (kot navedeno na slide-u 14) na mitja.petelin@turistica.si. Izbrali bomo najbolj perspektiven poslovni načrt in mu nudili podporo v smislu mentorstva. Datum oddaje poslovnega načrta je 25.12.2010!

My Erasmus Time in Slovenia! (University of Primorska)

Well where do I start? I had the most amazing experience at the UP Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož. Every day was awesome…..except when it rained ;). Everyone assisted me during my stay. My coordinators and all the tutors have been awesome.

Portoroz has been great! The nightlife is good, my accommodation at Dijaski Dom (dormitory) has been perfect. I only had problems with internet (no wireless).

The advantages of my time in Portoroz is that I got to travel quite a lot in Europe on my own and also with other Erasmus students which are now my good friends!

The friendships I have made here in Slovenia will stay for life! I would 100% come to visit Portoroz again in the future to see everyone…... my friends and tutors as I had the most awesome time during my study at UP Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož.

I would like to thank all the tutors and the two best coordinators at Turistica Mitja and Miha….. thank you ;). Because of you I have enjoyed my time in Portoroz!

You have made it an awesome experience and with this experience I am stronger than before. I can travel anywhere and meet new people. I love experiencing other cultures and countries it’s been the best amazing time of my life and I will never forget.

I would really like to thank everyone for everything they have done and all the help support you have given me.
