If you want to experience something new, then this invitation will be appropriate for you.
I would like to invite you to go with us to Rijeka carnival on 22nd February, and to join us on 21st February for the nice and lively pre-carnival meeting in Portorose. On 21st we plan to play some games, make the masks and have a good time. On 22nd February we are going to visit the carnival in Rijeka, dressed in the masks which will represent people from all over the world.
Rijeka carnival is one of the biggest carnivals in the world. In 2009 it celebrates it's 26th anniversary. In 2008 100,000 visitors attended it.
PROGRAM:
SATURDAY 21 February:
12.00 meeting at bus station of Portorose
12.30 lunch at Bon cafe. Everyone can eat on the student bones. (cca 2.7 eur).
14.30 Forma viva www.obalne-galerije.si/index.php/en/cat/14/75 where we will play some games and enjoy the great view and maybe visit Salt pans www.soline.si/?lang=eng
18.00 buy some snacks and drinks and go to the student home, where we can make the masks and have a party.
22.00 go to the Tartini theater where is free mask carnival.
Another option is to go to Piran and have lunch at the Pirat restaurant where we can eat sea food, then visit the Tartini square- www.slo-istra.com/piran/eng.asp and take a nice boat trip from Piran to Sečovlje, visit Salt pans and museum. The boating and ticket for the salt pans and museum is 13eur/person. The meal in the restaurant cost 2.9 eur/person.
We will see how many people want to do that!?!
SUNDAY:
8.45-meeting at Turistica, Portorose and leave with cars for the Koper.
9.30- gathering at park place SUPERNOVA in Koper and have a coffee and something to bite.
