UP FTŠ
Turistica is offering students of our faculty to become part of Erasmus student
exchange and one of the partner institutions is NHTV Breda from Netherlands.
On
Wednesday, 11th of April 2012, 27 students and 3 professors from NHTV Breda
came to Turistica as part of their excursion across Slovenia. They have
attended a special lecture "SLOVENIAN TOURISM'S REALITY AND ITS FUTURE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY" held by our new dean dr. Anton Gosar.
Every student received one copy of our Academica Turistica - Tourism and Innovation Journal and
promotional material about Istria region and Slovenia. Beside the Dutch
students the lecture was attended by some of our students as well who were
eager to meet them.
After the
lecture we were ready to mingle with the students – international office was
holding a discussion about our faculty, the student life generally and
Slovenia’s first impressions. We were very interested in theirs travel agency
called New ways, which is basically agency were students are preparing trips
for students. International office was impressed by the idea that could be used
in our country as well, if the students would be interested.
Besides the
pretty bad weather in Portorož and Piran that didn’t stop us to have a great
time with Dutch students, we have attended the lunch in restaurant Pirat and
after our fellow student Janja Spevan took the students on the guided tour
across Piran.
After the
tours students continued their excursion towards Ljubljanja, Bohinj and Bled.
We wish them a lot of great experiences and we hope to meet them again soon!
