Ireland, Finland and Sweden students prepared a great intercultural evening!

For the last time in this academic year, Turistica hosted an intercultural evening – this time Ireland, Finland and Sweden students presented their countries, cultures and other habits. This intercultural evening was the most visited till now – more than 70 students attended!

We also hosted a special guest on this intercultural evening – Erasmus ambassador for Republic Slovenia - Mr. Jure Kumljanc, who is also a master student on Turistica. He addressed all the students with a speech. He encouraged the Erasmus exchange very much and since this year its 25 years of Erasmus program, we also distributed brochures about Erasmus to other students.

The first part of intercultural evening was held on Turistica, in classroom 201. We started off with presentation of Ireland prepared by Ciaran Mac Neachtain and Ciara McKenna, which was a little bit more serious; they showed us a part of Ireland that a lot of us didn't know – like the on-going dispute between catholic and protestant Irish.Later on we continued with Finland, where Antton Kekki Joel presented his country in amusing way, he showed us a lot of interesting videos and surely inspired us all to visit Finland. After him, Swedish students, Karl Käck and Maria Lundh presented their country – their presentation was very innovative – they compared their country with other Erasmus country, which was a new way of presenting it.

Second part of our intercultural evening was for the first time held on the TURISTICA BEACH. All in one, that was the first official event that was hosted on the mentioned beach. There was special surprise waiting for all the guests – an amazing cake for celebrating 25 years of Erasmus program distributed from LifeClass hotels.

Irish, Finnish and Swedish students all had prepared a culinary delight for us all – really a lots of dishes and drinks was served and all of the guests really enjoyed it. Swedish students also prepared a sports game named Kubb which was really great.

Since this was a last intercultural evening in this academic year, we would like to thank everyone involved in organizing these wonderful three events, specially the students who were really responsible for these amazing times that we had.

Thank you again and don't forget to check THE PHOTO GALLERY from event!
