TURIZMIJADA 2015 - TIVAT (28th of April - 3rd of May 2015)
We are up for another unforgettable, unique and unrepeatable Turizmijada!
As tradition has it, each year in May, Turistica takes part in Turizmijada (an International congress for tourism students from the Balkan region) and this year will be no exception!
This year’s Turizmijada will be held at the heart of Boka Kotorska in the town of Tivat in Montenegro. Tivat is known for its beautiful beaches, incredible nature, sea and undiscovered bays. What is more, in Tivat you will be able to see cultural and historical monuments and find treasures from archeological findings in the area.
First, let us explain what Turizmijada really is. It is the biggest gathering of tourism and hospitality students from the Balkan region. Through participation in various educational and sports activities you will get to meet and connect with other tourism students and make friends for a lifetime. Attached you will find more information about the programme.
Turizmijada is the place to be! If you don’t believe us, come and see it for yourself. Trust us, you will not regret it!
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
The theme of this year’s conference is “Sustainable nautical tourism on the Mediterranean” and “Innovative business ideas in tourism”. The reason for choosing these particular topics is due to the fact that this tourism segment is of high importance for the touristic growth and development in Montenegro. Lectures will be given by respectable academics and experts from the field of business (topics of lectures and names of keynote speakers will be provided for you later).
Turistica will also take part in the Case Study competition, this year we will be represented by two teams and you are all invited to come and support them in their presentation. This year’s Case study theme is “Innovative business ideas in tourism”.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES
This year Turistica will be the defending champion for the prestigious title called Most successful Faculty in the overall sports rankings. We will be competing in football, volleyball, basketball, handball, tennis, chess, etc. (The full list of sport activities will be provided for you later on and you will be able to sign up for participation).
ACCOMODATION
We will be sleeping in the Hotel Kamelija**. The hotel is located by the coast and has its own beach. The city center is only 1,5 km away and the luxurious marina Porto Montenegro is only 400 meters away.
PARTY AND ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME
Be a part of the biggest part of tourism and hospitality students at the Balkans. Get lost in the rhythms of the amazing music which will be provided for us by our amazing DJs and rock bands (DJ Coske (CG) Tech House, DJ Pick a boo (HR) Funky/house tribal breakbeat, Dj Lucky Dee, Padrino bend, Otac Mihailo, and many other surprises).
Prepare, get ready, bring your party spirit and turn the party mode ON!
Remember, Turizmijada 2015 remains in the memory forever!
ITINERARY:
DAY 1, Tuesday, 28th of April 2015:
In the evening departure from Slovenia (pick up point: bus station in front of Turistica) and drive towards Montenegro.
DAY 2, Wednesday, 29th of April 2015:
Arrival to Tivat in the morning after driving throughout the night and installation into the Hotel Kamelija**.
At 11am we start with the traditional “Welcome party” and exploration of the area.
At 18.15 the opening ceremony of Turizmijada accompanied by the presentation of all participating faculties in Turizmijada 2015 and time for group photo session.
At 10pm it is time for the opening party and socialization.
DAY 3, Thursday, 30th of April 2015:
In the morning the educational part with conference and keynote speakers will start. Throughout the day there will also be sports competitions - time for athletes to prove themselves and time for everybody else to cheer for them.
At 1pm it is time for the day party.
At 10pm the evening party with live music.
DAY 4, Friday, 1st of May 2015:
The conference will continue with its presentations and lectures and also there will be further round in various sports competitions and time to relax and sunbathe on the beach.
At 10pm we will have the evening theme party and at 5 in the morning, only for the bravest, the after party!
DAY 5, Saturday, 2nd of May 2015:
Our Case Study teams will present their paper and compete against other faculties and there will be final rounds of sports competitions and our athletes will need each and every one of you to come and help them on the road to victory. At 10pm there will be final party and the proclamation of the winner in the sports competitions and trophy ceremony.
DAY 6, Sunday, 3rd of May 2015:
At 11am check-out and departure for Slovenia.
PRICE AND PAYMENT:(part of transportation expenses is covered by the UP FTŠ Turistica Student Council)
A) 150€ (for those who apply and PAY! until 31st of March 2015)
B) 174€ (for those who apply and pay after 1st of April 2015)
PRICE INCLUDES:
- 4x full board in Hotel Kamelija**,
- transportation and toll,
- organisation and guide of the the excursion,
- fee for the conference
- fee for sports and educational competitions,
- tourist tax,
- entrance for parties organised by Turizmijada team,
- Coris health insurance and
- VAT.
ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS:
- caution money for any damage we may cause (5€) - will be collected on the bus
