Trip to Belgrade and the Belgrade tourism fair (20th of February – 22nd of February 2015)


Belgrade is the capital city of Serbia and is, as a capital of the former Republic of Yugoslavia, known for its mosaic of rich culture, history, culinary and party. You will get to meet all of the historic monuments, hang out with fellow tourism students, try the traditional balkan cousine and visit the Tourism fair along with the Conference, organized by the Serbia4Youth team. As part of the Tourism fair you will get a chance to visit BeoWine Fair – an opportunity to get aquainted with vine culture of the Balkans.







ITINERARY:


1st day: Friday 20th of February PORTOROSE – BELGRADE

The bus will leave from the bus station in front of Turistica faculty in Portorose at 0.45AM. We will go past Zagreb, by the Slavonski Brod to Belgrade. We arrive there at around 11AM and go straight to our Hotel Slavija in the center of the city. After we make ourselves comfortable, the Belgrade4Youth team will greet us with their welcome drink and later on, we leave for the guided tour around the city to the Kalemegdan fortress, where we meet the students from the other countries.
From 15PM to 17PM we will have some free time to explore Belgrade by ourselves, buy some souvenirs and feel the city.

In the late afternoon here is optional visit of »Party tram« (with extra payment of 9 euros); party on the famous tram lines in the city called »Krug dvojke«.
In the evening at 10PM we will attend the evening party »The Belgrade4Youth fest 1st night«. The group playing there will be a rock group calles MVP.

2nd day: Saturday 21st of Februar, Belgrade tourism fair

After breakfast we will visit the 37. International Toursm Fair (ITTA), the biggest tourism fair in Serbia and all of the southeastern part of Europe. For the fifth year in the row, there will also be a Wine fair at the site, called »BeoWine fair 2014«, where you will be able to experience some of the best wine varietyes from Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Slovenia

From 14PM to 18PM we will attend a conference, with many interesting international guests and topics of discussion:
- Mr. Rob Davidson, Event management contribution to tourism development (MICE Knowledge, Ex Senior Lecturer in Events Management at the University of Greenwich, London)
- Mr. Simon Gidman, Head of the Business Tourism department of Visit England.
- Mr. James Kennell, professor at Greenwich University. Author and specialist in cultural tourism and regeneration.
- Dr. Melanie Smith, professor at Corvinus University, Budapest. Author and specialist in spa tourism.
- Mr. Miha Lesjak, Sport events for tourism development (Case:Slovenia Eurobaske) innovative promotion techniques (Turistica, M.A. lecturer)- to be confirmed

- Mr. Aleksandar Šćepanović, Montana Rock’n’Roll entrepreneurs experienc (Entrepreneur, owner of hostel Montana, Kopaonik mountain, Serbia

After the fair and the conference, 22PM we will leave in the less formal enviroment, for »The Belgrade4Youth fest 2nd night« where we will attend the concert of the group Who See. Later on we will have the after party on the famous raftsof Belgrade.

3rd day: Sunday, 2nd of March 2014 BELGRADE – PORTOROSE

After the long night and breakfast in the morning we visit the Yugoslavian museum, Marakana stadium and royal palaces. After the tours we leave for Slovenia and return to Portorose in the late evening hours.

Minimal number of participaints 40, maximum 50

INCLUDED IN THE PRICE:

·       Bus service,

EXTRA PAYMENT:

- Tram party – 9 euros
- deposit money in case of caused damage in the hostel - 5€ (will be collected on the bus)

Transportation from parties is NOT organised – you have to use taxies (they will be waiting at the venue).

-to bring a valid ID document
-that your application is not final until you pay the excursion

Spa Tour there!
